The American Legion Post 1977 invites the community to its Cars & Stripes Cruise Nights, beginning May 1, 2024, and running through September 30, 2024. This event will showcase a variety of classic and modern vehicles, with participants in the running for Best of Show trophies. Each month will highlight different automobile manufacturers, starting in May with all classes, June featuring Ford, July focusing on Mopar, August dedicated to Chevrolet, and September spotlighting Corvettes. Festivities kick off at 5:00 PM and wrap up at 9:00 PM at the American Legion in New Lenox. While marveling at the array of cars, visitors can enjoy food available for purchase and entertainment by DJ Chad. There will also be 50/50 raffle drawings, with proceeds benefiting local veterans through Post 1977’s fundraising efforts. Attendees interested in receiving awards or participating in the raffle drawings need to be present. Event organizers emphasize that no pets, weapons, or outside food and drinks are allowed within the show area. All are welcome to join in celebrating the automotive culture while supporting a good cause.
